INFORMATION FROM PRINCIPAL COTTRELL (March 20, 2020)
The Government of Alberta announced that classes are cancelled indefinitely due to the growing spread of COVID-19. Effective immediately, students and teachers will not be attending classes at Kenilworth. Instead, after March break, classes have been redesigned as a home learning model. Please log into SchoolZone or contact our school office to help get you started.
EPSB’s latest updates for families will be posted on thecoronavirus update page of epsb.ca, and they will continue to share information on the external coronavirus information page as well. The École Kenilworth School will be fully closed for the Spring Break of March 23 - 27, reopening as of March 30th. Please note; only the school office will be operating as a reception for phone call and email inquiries. We are abiding by AHS COVID -19 best practices of minimizing social contact. Inquiries to staff and the main office should be done by email and/or phone calls. We are discouraging walk-ins and close physical contact. School Contact information is found on this main webpage.
Our Kenilworth staff, in partnership with the larger EPSB expertise, have been working full speed within our new paradigm to redesign learning opportunities and structure for our students. We understand you may be anxious to know what is happening so we will continue to communicate as best we can as information comes to us - keep checking in to SchoolZone after March 30.
We know how sudden this is and that it will be a significant disruption to your lives. However, the health and safety of our students, families and staff is our top priority. Please know that our administration and teachers are available and working hard to support your learning. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this all unfolds. We will provide more information once it becomes available.
Thank you and take care of yourselves and stay in touch.
