    PRE-ENROLMENT AND REGISTRATION UPDATE

    Pre-enrolment for the 2025-26 school year opens on Monday, February 3! 

    For students currently enrolled in an EPSB school, please log into your parent account in SchoolZone on or after February 3rd  to select your preferred school for the 2025-26 school year. The deadline to complete pre-enrolment is Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 4:00 pm. 

    For students new to Edmonton Public, please visit https://epsb.ca/schools/register/newstudentregistration/ to register.

    For the 2024 - 2025 school year, École Kenilworth School is full in planned classes in Grade 8 and Grade 9 in the regular program AND Grade 7 in the French immersion programWe will no longer accept enrolment requests for Grade 7 in the French immersion program. For the regular program, we will now only accept resident students in Grade 8 and Grade 9 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

    Welcome and Bienvenue to École Kenilworth School!

    Kenilworth is proud to be a school committed to academic growth, artistic growth, personal wellness, and lifelong learning. Supported by a vibrant community, we provide a safe environment that focuses on deliberate instructional practices and active learning. We are the Knights! Our goal is to ensure our junior high students have an opportunity to discover their interests and talents to achieve their goals now and in the future.     At Kenilworth, we offer regular junior high programming in English as well as French Immersion. We also offer additional support in literacy and numeracy, which is available in our Literacy and Connections programs. We are a small school that prioritizes relationships and citizenship. Beyond class instruction, we encourage students to get involved to learn new things, try new activities, and continue to develop skills through our clubs, special events, trips, and teams.

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Bienvenue and welcome to École Kenilworth School! We welcome all prospective and returning students to the 2024-2025 school year. Kenilworth Junior High School has a strong tradition of providing excellent teaching and learning experiences in both French and English. Our school is committed to meeting the individual academic needs of all students by providing high-quality learning environments that challenge and engage students. At Kenilworth, our instructional focus is “Striving for excellence by engaging students to take charge of their learning.”  We provide a well-balanced learning environment that instills students with citizenship and good character and provides students with many opportunities to lead within and outside the school. We have high standards for all our students because we know they are capable of excellence. Our staff at Kenilworth see the potential in every student and use their skill and talents to teach and lead, making our school a special place to learn every day. Together, students and staff make Kenilworth a create a school of excellence.

In addition to high-quality core courses in both French and English, we offer a range of enrichment programs including instrumental music, art, drama, outdoor education, foods, construction, film studies, and leadership. To supplement these school programs, there are extra-curricular opportunities in athletics and clubs for students to participate in, and opportunities for student-led clubs every year. Extracurricular teams, clubs, and events help our students build lifelong relationships and skills that will help them transition effectively into high school and beyond. We work closely and collaboratively with our school council to provide our students with extra learning opportunities that enhance learning. We greatly value the relationships we have built with our community.

Pre-enrolment is now open for the 2025- 2026 school year. 

Parents of current EPSB students:

Sign in to SchoolZone between 8 a.m. on February 3 and 4 p.m. on March 19, 2025 to select your child’s preferred school for the 2025–26 school year. 

When you sign in to your parent SchoolZone account on your computer, tablet or smartphone:

  • choose Next Year
  • select the name of the child you are pre-enrolling
  • follow the instructions to select your child’s preferred school for next year

Open House and School Visits

École Kenilworth School hosted an Open House on February 6th. If you missed it, please contact the school and we can arrange an informational session and a school site visit. 

Students who have selected Kenilworth as their school for the 2025-26 school year will have an opportunity to visit the school later in the spring. More information will be shared when Kenilworth staff visit elementary schools to help students select courses.
